Ministries

As Christians, we follow Jesus toward others. All Saints has many areas of opportunity for ministry and outreach equal to the variety of gifts, skills, and personalities at our church. Consider joining us as we reach out toward our community and our world with the transforming love of God in Jesus Christ.

Worship

Choir: Sing in the choir during the 9:00 AM service each Sunday.

Children’s Choir: Sing once a month at either the 9:00 (with adult choir) or 11:00 service each month.

Altar Guild: Sets up the Altar for all Eucharist Service on Sundays and Weekdays. Prepares the Sanctuary for Special Services

Usher: Help organize our worship setting by passing out bulletins and assisting congregants before, during, and after worship.

Chalice Bearer: Assist clergy during communion. 

Acolyte: Carry the cross and candles and help with communion.

Lector: Read the scripture lessons and lead the prayers of the people during worship.

Sound: Operate sound, lights, and cameras. 

Band:  Part of the worship team during the 11:00 AM service.

Administration

Reception: Volunteer to answer calls, greet visitors, and perform administrative tasks.

Event Committee: Volunteer to help organize events.

Kitchen Committee: Help cook, clean, and provide food for events and fellowship events.

Set-Up/Break-Down Crew: Help set up and break down for events in the church.

Barista Committee: Set up (and clean up), brew coffee and oversee fellowship hour between Sunday services.

Children’s Ministry

All volunteers must be members of All Saints, approved by Children Director, pass background screening, and complete MinistrySafe training.

Sunday Morning: Serve children during one of our services as a teacher, coordinator, or ministry assistant. 

Nursery: Help with childcare in the nursery.

Service Coordinator: Help coordinate service and mission projects to children.

Vacation Bible School: Fill one of a variety of roles as we serve children in our community for a week each summer. 

Student Ministry

All volunteers must be members of All Saints, approved by Student Director, pass background screening, and complete MinistrySafe training.

Small Group Leader: Lead a discussion group with students during the week.  

Food: Prepare snacks and meals for students.

Transportation: Help transport students to local and state events.

Men’s Ministry

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast: Serve men on the third Saturday morning of each month.

Men’s Bible Studies: Various Bible studies in the greater Charlotte area.

Men’s Annual Retreat: Gathering of the church’s men in Valle Cruces, NC for a weekend of fellowship, rest, and study.

Women’s Ministry

The women’s ministry at All Saints Anglican Church exists to create opportunities for spiritual transformation through the Word by the Holy Spirit, encouraging and equipping women to connect the realities of the riches of Christ with everyday life.

Our values are that we will be transformed through: Scripture, Prayer, Community, Mentorship, Hospitality.

Women’s Ministry will be offering:

  • Monthly fellowship meals for ALL women of the church
  • Monthly fellowship meals for SINGLE women of the church
  • Bible studies
  • Fall and spring retreats

Coordination: Help coordinate events and education for the ministry.

Prayer Ministry

Intercessory Prayer Team: Join in intercession for our church, its mission, and our world.

Healing Prayer Team: Participate in healing prayer meetings.

Local Mission

Outreach Committee: Help organize local efforts for outreach through mercy ministry and evangelism.

Men’s Homeless Ministry: Cook for the men at the shelter each Monday or lead a Bible study on Tuesdays. 

Grief Share: Support group for those experiencing loss and grief.

Small Groups and Care Groups: Help lead a small group or care group.

Local Evangelism: Engage our neighborhood and city with the gospel through various events, including Alpha. 

Brookstone Schools: Serve students at Brookstone schools through mentorship and special events. 

Operation Christmas Child: Serve impoverished children each Christmas through gifts.

Advent Conspiracy: Join other Christians in bearing witness to the true meaning of Christmas. 

Meals Ministry: Help provide short-term meals for births, surgeries, funerals, etc.

Foreign Mission

Mission Trips: Serve on a mission trip to Peru, China, Ghana, or lead a mission trip to another foreign country. 

Love for the Least: Support the refugee ministry of Fr. Jerry Kramer in northern Iraq.
